When you create an app with Unifinity Wizard, a design document is generated at the same time.
This design document can be used to describe the policy for customization, and can be managed as a design document for the customized application.
In this issue, we will present examples of design document customization.
For the Unifinity Wizard design document, seeUnifinity Wizard] Description and usage of the design document for more information.
1. Update design documents
1.1. Contents to be updated
The following is a list of the contents to be included in each of the sheets that make up the design document, which will make it easier to consider the application structure and customization policy.
-
Overall view of the application
- Project InformationDescribe the issues that led to the creation of the application, the problems you want to solve by using the application, and the goals you want to achieve.
- System configuration: Describe the servers and related systems that will be linked to the application.
- Screen List:List the screens that make up the application in a transition diagram.
-
Table List:Information on the database and tables that communicate with the application.
-
Screen Details
- Listing screen:Describe the function of the "list screen" used in the application.
- Detail Screen:Describe the function of the "detail screen" used in the application.
- Input Screen 1:This section describes the functions of the "Basic Information Entry Screen" used in the application.
- Input Screen 2:This section describes the functions of the "Site Information Entry Screen" used in the application.
- Output Screen 1:This section describes the functions of the "Basic Information Entry Confirmation Screen" used in the application.
-
Output Screen 2:The following describes the functions of the "On-site Information Entry Confirmation Screen" used in the application.
-
Data Details
- Transaction data (basic data):Describe the basic information transaction data used by the application and related systems.
- Transaction data (field data):Describe transaction data for on-site information used by the application and related systems.
- Application Generation Information:Unifinity Studio cannot create generated information for customized apps and will not be used after customization.
1.2. Flow of updating design documents
Design documents generated by Unifinity Wizard can be updated according to the status of customization for easier management.
- Create an app with Unifinity Wizard
- Describe the purpose and goal of creating the application
- Review the application you have created and describe the areas you wish to customize.
- Describe information on systems and databases to be linked
- Customize your app with Unifinity Studio
- Reflect the customized application in the design document
2. Example of updated design document
2.1. Describe the application's customization policy
An example of a customization policy for a design generated by Unifinity Wizard is shown below.
The purpose of this article is to clarify requests such as "What functions do you want to add to which screen?" so that there will be no discrepancy between the creator and the user of the application.
In addition to describing the contents and requests for customization in the design document, the contents of the customization can be made clearer by pasting the screen image of the application generated by Unifinity Wizard onto the target sheet, so please consider the following depending on the scale of the number of people involved in the operation of the application and the communication environment. Please consider this depending on the size of the number of people involved in the operation of the application and the communication environment.

2.2. Customize the application
Once you have a customization policy in place, you can actually use Unifinity Studio to customize your application.
If the customization you made in accordance with the request corresponds to a function, it should be noted as a "function" or "specification." If the request is related to the size or appearance of a button, you can leave a description of how you handled it in the "others" section, so that others can use it as a reference when they look at the design document.
Supplementation:
Apps edited in Unifinity Studio are saved as project files (ufp) and are saved in a different location than apps created in Unifinity Wizard.
Please note that apps edited in Unifinity Studio cannot be opened in Unifinity Wizard.
If the app customization work is outsourced, the updated design document can also be used as a request form to the ordering party. If this is the case, please check with your sales representative and add the necessary information as appropriate.
2.3. Reflect the customized contents
The customization will be described in the design document.
The content described as a request can be left in a different color, etc., without erasing it to visualize the status of response.
Reference] Example of a customized screen, reflecting functions
Other screens and system configurations are also completed with the actual status reflected in the design documents.
Other information such as confirmation of operation and testing status can also be reflected in the design document to unify the materials related to the application.
