1. outline
This article describes the integration of apps created with the Unifinity Platform with hardware and devices. If you are considering using this system in conjunction with barcode readers, RFID readers, mobile printers, or other devices, please read on.
2. method of cooperation
2.1. keyboard input using Bluetooth linkage
2.1.1. OS settings (iOS, Android, Windows)
Configure connection settings from the settings menu of each OS. No Unifinity Platform operation is required for this setup process.
iOS Settings Screen
Android Settings Screen
Windows 10 settings screen
Please refer to the manual of your peripheral device for device loading.
2.1.2. Setting Example
The results of a QR code reader or other device can be sent to the Unifinity app as text information.
When using the reader, "Text Control" should be active and text entry should be possible. A button to activate the camera should also be placed so that it can be read by the camera if a reader is not available.
Example of placing a camera logic start button for QR shooting to the right of the text control
2.1.3. Supplemental
Please check the communication interface specifications of the peripheral device to confirm whether the peripheral device you are considering linking supports Bluetooth.
2.2. linkage using URL scheme
A URL scheme is an address expressed in the form of a URL such as "https://unifinity.co.jp".
This URL scheme can be used to call other apps installed on the device, such as a map app or chat app, from the Unifinity app.
2.2.1. call other apps in the device
2302_Unique/Application Call The article provides an explanation.
Please check the help for each application for the value that will be the URL scheme for the application you wish to call.
2.2.2 Applications (URL with parameters)
Depending on the application, it is also possible to include a parameter in the URL scheme to transition to the detail screen.
The figure below shows a call to a device that already has the "Google Maps" application installed, with location parameters specified.
A button to invoke this process is placed on the screen, and when tapped on the actual screen, Google Map is invoked and the location listed in the parameters is displayed.
Sample images are based on specifications as of October 2021. Please be careful when actually using the product.
2.3. work with COM port compatible peripherals
2.3.1 Using COM Port Connection Logic
Please refer to the following link for a reference on COM port communication settings.

2202_COM port communication/exit
2203_COM port communication/transmission
The port numbers of connected peripherals can be checked from the Windows "Device Manager".
2.3.1. create settings (e.g. port number) as a process
The following figure shows a screen shot of "COM port 11" and "COM port 12" communicating and an example of processing settings.
supplement
COM port via USB - if the device is compatible with the emulation driver, it can be linked via USB connection.
