The steps below explain how to place a shortcut to an app on the home screen of an iOS device.
1. Copy the App Link for the Shortcut
Launch the Unifinity Application Player and long-press the app for which you want to create a shortcut.
From the displayed menu, tap “Copy link for shortcut”.
The shortcut URL will be copied to the clipboard. You will use this copied URL in a later step.
A dialog showing the shortcut creation procedure will appear — tap “Yes”.
The shortcut creation instruction page (this page) will then be displayed.
Tap “Create New Shortcut” at the top left.
2. Edit the Shortcut
When the Shortcuts app launches, type “URL” in the search bar, then find and tap the “Open URLs” action.
Tap the “URL” field in the added action.
Tap the cursor again, and from the displayed menu, select “Paste”.
3. Add the Shortcut to the Home Screen
Tap the information icon in the footer menu.
Tap “Add to Home Screen.”
After adjusting the shortcut name and icon design, tap “Add.”
A shortcut to the app will be added to the home screen.
When you tap the shortcut, the configured app will launch automatically.
