Thank you for your continued support of Unifinity. We have always placed the security of our users at the forefront of our minds, and for this reason we are pleased to announce that we will be making some important changes in our next version of the software.
The current version of Unifinity does not inspect SSL server certificates during SSL/TLS communication processing in logic, but will do so from the next version. This change will provide a higher level of security and better protect user information and privacy.
The scope of impact of this change is as follows
- Network/GET, GET2, GET3 Logic
- Network/POST, POST2, POST3 logic
- Network/HTTP request logic
- Network/File Download Logic
This security enhancement will be applied to Unifinity Application Player and Unifinity Studio, scheduled for release after September 2023.
In order to ensure the security of customers and applications, no exceptions are allowed, such as exceptionally excluding certain SSL server certificates from inspection. Please check and install the certificates to which you are communicating before the release of this security-enhanced version.
We understand that there may be cases where a self-signed certificate is used for SSL server certificates on servers under development, etc. In such cases, please consider installing a free SSL server certificate that can be used for development purposes.
Enhanced security is an essential component of a constantly evolving Internet environment. We will continue to make every effort to ensure that users can use Unifinity with peace of mind.
