This section describes the operations that can be performed in the definition list area. The operations that can be performed in the definition list area are as follows
- List Grouping
- Creating a duplicate
- Rename file
- Close (Untethered from the project)
List Grouping
Items displayed in the Screen Definition List/DB Definition List/Process Definition List are grouped together as related groups. Grouping them together can improve visibility when the number of files increases.
The following is an example of a treatment design. The same operation can be used in screen design and DB design to bring them together as a group.
Create a new group
- Right-click on the item to be included in the group and select "Create New Group" from the menu.
The "Enter Text" screen will appear.
- Enter a group name (①) and click "OK" (②).
A group is created and the item selected in step 1 is moved to the created group. If you enter the same name as a group already created, the selected item will be added to the existing group.
Rename Group
Right-click on the item in the group you wish to rename and select "Rename Group" from the menu.
When the "Enter Text" screen appears, enter a new name and click "OK.
Deleting Groups
Right-click on the item in the group you wish to rename and select "Delete Group" from the menu.
Creating a duplicate
You can duplicate the file selected in the currently displayed design screen (Screen Design/DB Design/Process Design) and add the file to the project.
The following is an example of a treatment design. Similar operations can be used to create duplicates in screen design and DB design.
- Right-click on the item to be duplicated and select "Create Duplicate" from the menu.
- Enter a file name (①) and click "Save" (②).
The file is duplicated and added to the project.
Rename file
You can change the name of the file selected in the currently displayed design screen (Screen Design/DB Design/Process Design).
The following is an example of a treatment design. The same operation can be used to rename files in screen design and DB design.
- Right-click on the item to be renamed and select "Rename File" from the menu.
- Enter a file name (①) and click "Save" (②).
The file name will be changed.
Close (Untethered from the project)
You can unassociate the project from the file selected in the currently displayed design screen (screen design/DB design/process design). Closed files are no longer visible to the project, but remain in their original location.
- Right-click on the item to which you want to unlink the project and select "Close" from the menu.
- Click "Yes" if you are comfortable with the cancellation.
The file will close and the selected item will disappear from the definition list area.
