Workflow Before Starting Use
Before you can start using UniBaaS, both administrators and users must complete the following steps.
Tasks for Administrators
UniBaaS administrators should perform the tasks below in the order listed.
Collecting User Information
Prepare user information such as names and email addresses for those who will be registered in UniBaaS.
Deciding the Distribution Policy
Determine when and to whom Unifinity applications will be distributed.
Registering Groups
Organize users into groups based on the distribution policy, and register those groups in UniBaaS. For details, see “TODO:6. Managing Groups.”
Groups are optional. Application files and push notifications can also be distributed to individual users or to all users at once.
Registering Users
Register users in UniBaaS according to the distribution policy. Group assignments are also configured at this stage.
For details, see “TODO:7. Managing Users.”
Registering Distribution Files
Upload completed Unifinity applications to UniBaaS. After uploading, configure the distribution targets (users/groups). For details, see “5. Managing Distribution Files.”
Managing Push Notifications
You can send push notifications to users who use Unifinity applications registered in UniBaaS. For details, see “8. Managing Push Notifications.”
Managing License Usage
When registering users in UniBaaS, ensure that sufficient licenses are available. Current license usage can be checked on the administrator dashboard.
Tasks for Users
UniBaaS users must complete the following steps.
Completing Account Registration
When the administrator registers a user by email address, an “Account Registration Notice” email is automatically sent to the user.
Follow the instructions in the email to complete account setup.
If the administrator registers a user by User ID instead of email address, the “Account Registration Notice” email will not be sent.
In this case, obtain your User ID and password directly from the administrator.
Installing the Latest Player
Install the latest version of Unifinity Application Player.
For details, see “4. Installing Unifinity Application Player” in the Installation section.
Configuring User Information
Enter the following information in the installed Unifinity Application Player:
Tenant ID (provided by the administrator) User ID (email address or User ID provided by the administrator) Password
For details, see “5. Device Authentication” in the Installation section.
Downloading Unifinity Applications
Use Unifinity Application Player to download the Unifinity applications assigned to you.
For details, see “2. Distributing Apps via UniBaaS” in the App Distribution section.
