Use the left sidebar on the preview screen to configure your app in detail. This page explains “Field Settings” and “Screen Settings,” then walks you through generating and testing your completed app.
After working in any settings screen, return to the preview screen to review your changes.

1.2 Additional Settings for Selection and Master Data Fields
Some input methods require additional settings. Configure these when adding a field or by clicking its “Edit” button.
- List Box / Multiple Selection: Enter one option per line.
- Master Data Selection: Specify the CSV columns (headers) to use and the field to display as selectable options. The CSV file must use UTF-8 encoding and include field names in the first row.
- Master Data Lookup: Select the source Master Data Selection field, then choose which column from its CSV file to display.
2. Screen Settings
Select “Screen Settings” in the left sidebar of the preview screen. This screen provides access to the settings for each app screen.
Apps created with Unifinity Wizard use four types of screens: List, Details, Input, and Confirmation. Screen Settings displays cards grouped by section for the screens that need configuration.
| Section | Cards | Destination |
|---|---|---|
| List Screens | Each list screen | List screen settings (Section 3 below) |
| Details Screen | Basic Information Area / On-Site Information Area | Details screen settings (Section 4 below) |
| Input Screens | Basic Information Input Screen / Input screen for each step | Input screen settings (Section 5 below) |
Select a card to open its settings screen.
3. List Screen Settings
The list screen is the first screen displayed when the app starts. It helps on-site staff find and select the work they need to perform.
Screen Pattern
Choose one of the following four patterns to suit your workflow.
| Pattern | Description |
|---|---|
| Select from Calendar | Display scheduled work on a calendar. Requires a date-related field. |
| Menu Buttons | Navigate to a screen by pressing a button. |
| Filter List | Filter the displayed steps. |
| Search List | Search fields and display matching results. |
Main Settings
- Screen Name: The name of the list screen.
- Screen Key: Depending on the pattern, select the field linked to the calendar or used for searching.
- Display Fields (Card Layout): Configure the fields shown on each list card according to the card size: Large, Medium 1, Medium 2, or Small.
- Menu Button Settings (Menu Buttons pattern only): Configure up to three buttons, including their names and destination screens.
- Edit Filter Conditions: Set filtering conditions for data synchronization so that only the required data is displayed.
You can configure up to three list screens. If multiple screens are configured, the first appears when the app starts, and users can switch between them using the menu at the bottom of the app.
In landscape orientation, “Table Settings” replaces the card settings, allowing you to configure columns, widths, and other table layout options.
4. Details Screen Settings
The details screen appears when a user selects a record from a list. It is divided into the “Basic Information Area” and the “On-Site Information Area.”
4.1 Basic Information Area
Set the display order of Basic Information fields.
Use the up and down arrow buttons to reorder the fields. This order is synchronized with the order in Field Settings.
4.2 On-Site Information Area
Edit the step structure and configure how On-Site Information is displayed.
Automatic Screen Pattern Selection
The details screen pattern is determined automatically by the number of steps and the “Allow Multiple Entries” setting.
| Step Configuration | Pattern | Details Screen Layout |
|---|---|---|
| No steps (Basic Information only) | Basic Details | Displays the Basic Information fields. |
| One step, multiple entries disabled | Standard Details | Displays Basic Information, with a button below for entering On-Site Information. |
| One step, multiple entries enabled | List Details | Displays multiple On-Site Information entries below Basic Information. |
| Two or more steps, multiple entries disabled | Step Details | Displays steps below Basic Information, with data entered separately for each step. |
| Two or more steps, multiple entries enabled | Step On-Site Details | Displays information for each step below Basic Information, with tabs for switching between steps. |
Main Settings
- Add, edit, reorder, and delete steps; enable or disable multiple entries: These operations work the same way as on the information organization screen.
- Card Settings: For steps that allow multiple entries, configure the fields displayed on each card and the card size in portrait orientation.
- Table Settings: Configure columns, widths, and other table layout options in landscape orientation.
- Button Names: Set the names of the buttons used to register or start entering On-Site Information.
5. Input Screen Settings
Input screens are where users enter Basic Information and On-Site Information. There is a Basic Information Input Screen and a separate input screen for each step.
Main Settings
- Screen Name: The name of the input screen.
- Screen Pattern (step input screens only): Automatically set to the standard or list pattern depending on whether “Allow Multiple Entries” is enabled. This setting is read-only.
- Edit Fields: Use the up and down arrow buttons to reorder fields, or edit each field’s name and input method.
- Landscape Layout Settings (landscape orientation only): Choose the number of fields displayed per row (number of columns). Use “Adjust Individual Fields” to make specific fields span the full width.
6. Generating Your App
Once you have finished configuring your app, generate it from the preview screen.
- Select “Generate This App” at the bottom of the preview screen.
- In the confirmation dialog, review and configure the following:
- Distribution Group: The group that will receive the generated app.
- App Name: The name under which the app will be distributed.
- Sample Data: Select this checkbox to generate the app with sample data.
- Confirm the settings and start generation.
The app is generated in the cloud. This may take a few minutes.
If App Generation Fails
- If the app name is blank, enter a name in App Settings first.
- The app must contain at least one field to be generated.
- If a communication error appears, check your network connection and try again.
7. Reviewing and Running Your Generated App
Once generation starts, a screen appears with information about the results and options for what to do next.
| Button | Description |
|---|---|
| Try the App in Your Browser | Review the app in your browser. Apps integrated with kintone cannot run in the web version. |
| Launch in Application Player | Launch the app in Unifinity Application Player on your device. |
| Continue Editing in Studio | Further customize the app in Unifinity Studio. A paid plan is required to use Unifinity Studio. |
When generation is complete, the application file (.uap), design documents, and the complete set of project files are saved to UniBaaS.
If you edit and regenerate an existing app, the app with the same name is overwritten.
